We took the 7-day, 6-night Lima-Cusco-Machu Picchu package during Thanksgiving week of 2011. The trip was an excellent value for the price and a perfect balance between scheduled activities and free time. The travel coordinators in Lima (Carlos) and Cusco (Gladys) ensured that our trip ran smoothly. For example, Gladys notified us in advance of a change in our flight schedule, enabling us to plan accordingly. We were very pleased with all the local tour guides (Lima City Tour, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, Cusco City Tour). It’s worthwhile to purchase the upgrade to the VistaDome train for the trip between Cusco to Aguas Calientes, which was one of the highlights of the week. The standard hotels in this package are good quality economy hotels that offer a generous breakfast. (Note: The El Santuario Hotel in Aguas Calientes doesn’t have an elevator. This wasn’t a problem for us, but it could be for others.) Many thanks to Joyce for her patience with all of our questions! We highly recommend Best Peru Tours and would not hesitate to use their services again.
