I just wanted to let you know how happy I was with our tour in Peru and how very impressed I am that everything went smoothly and all the connections made. That seemed like a huge organizational feat to get all us tourists to the right place at the right time with the right guide….and it worked. The guides were wonderful, friendly and informative. The Hacienda Concepcion Lodge in Puerto Maldonado was wonderful, our favorite place we stayed. Our only regret is we didn’t stay an extra day in Machu Picchu/Aquas Callientes and the Sacred Valley. We loved the restaurant and setting of the Tunupa Restaurant in the Sacred Valley. We climbed Huayna Picchu and I appreciate that our 2nd day already had the reservation included in the ticket, which I don’t remember talking to you about, but you included anyway. I do wish we had gotten to see the INCA musuem in Cusco, but there wasn’t enough time. I would suggest that be on the tour.
The only slight dissatisfaction we had was with the hotel San Francisco in Cusco. The people were wonderful there and tried to accomodate us, but when we got back from Macchu Picchu, I guess because it was a Sat. night, there were only 2 rooms left that they gave us and they faced out on the court yard where the dining room is and it was rather noisy. But it wasn’t too far from the main square, the food was fine and the view from the rooftop deck was an extra special treat.
I want to especially thank our guides Carlos in Lima, Geraldine in Puerto Maldonado, and Gladys in Cusco, who saved the day when my son left his passport in the hotel and she went back to retrieve it, and we made our flight to Lima just in time before they took off.
Thank you so much for working with me and accomodating our needs. You were so helpful. I had never done a tour quite like this and I didn’t know what to expect and I am so pleased it went so well. The only thing I wish you had done was to encourage us to stay longer because there were so many facinating places we would have liked to have stayed longer at.
