My wife and I just returned from our 12 day customized trip to Peru which included overnight stays in Lima, Chivay, Arequipa, Puno, Cusco, Aguas Calientes and Urubamba. Among the many highlights of our trip were visiting Colca Canyon (Condor Cross) and watching numerous majestic condors soaring before our eyes over the canyon, visiting the amazing floating reed islands of Uros and Taquile Island on Lake Titicaca, the beautiful plazas and grand cathedrals of both Arequipa and Cusco, the incredibly beautiful Sacred Valley and last but certainly not least, visiting the amazing Machu Picchu with expert guide Victor and hiking Huayna Picchu! All of the 3 star hotels booked for us exceeded our expectations and were all centrally located and within easy walking distance to the main plazas and major sights. We were equally impressed with how smoothly everything went considering all of the logistics involved with transfers to and from airports, bus terminals, train stations and arranged tours. Special acknowledgements and thank you are necessary for Juan Carlos in Lima who treated us like family and saw to our every need as well as Jimmy in Cusco who went out of his way for us to accommodate our last minute wishes to visit an Alpaca Factory outside of Cusco and hastily arranged transportation and a driver for us to make our search for baby alpaca sweaters a success! I can’t say enough good things about both of these gentlemen! I would not hesitate to highly recommend Best Peru tours for anyone wishing to visit Peru!
